5 Reasons Ultra Runners Are Switching to a Cap That Doesn’t Rely on Absorption
…and the hidden edge most caps miss.
See what makes EVO different
LESS HEAT. LESS SWEAT.
Heat builds fast on a summer run, and when a cap traps it, your body answers with more sweat and more wasted energy. The EVO’s AirLeaf vents keep air moving through the crown as you run, cutting heat buildup at the source, so you stay cooler deeper into the run and give your sweat less of a head start.
BUILT FOR THE SOAKED MILES.
Most sweat gear plays the same game: absorb until it saturates, then dump everything straight down into the eye-sting zone. The EVO expects the soak. The extended sweatband catches more before your eyes, and the design keeps working when everything’s already wet, so the back half of your run isn’t a fight with your own gear.
THE HIDDEN EDGE: SWEAT REDIRECTION.
On a straight brim, sweat falls wherever it reaches the edge, and your eyes sit right under it. The EVO’s brim takes that choice away from gravity: raised side edges catch the overflow early and the curve guides it to a low drip point beside your face, so you’re not squinting, wiping, and fighting your own sweat when the run gets hot.

VENTED. STILL SHADED.
Most vented caps buy their airflow with more mesh and more holes, and the sun walks straight in. Cooler head, squinting eyes. The EVO keeps the jobs separate: vents up in the crown where the heat collects, a full solid brim over your eyes, so the glare stays out while the heat still leaves.
LOCKED IN. FORGOTTEN.
Most caps close with a plastic snap and a strap tail that flaps behind your head at pace. The EVO ends with a metal slide buckle, the strap threaded back through so nothing bounces, at about 90 grams total, so you put it on, lock it in, and forget you’re wearing it.

QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS
What size is the cap?
One size with a low crown and curved brim. The metal slide buckle at the back adjusts the fit from roughly 55 to 60 cm, and the loose strap end tucks inside the band so nothing flaps behind your head.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
Take it on your hardest, hottest run. If it doesn’t change how you deal with sweat within 30 days, send it back for a refund. We’re asking you to test us, not trust us.
Does it protect me from the sun and glare?
Yes — unlike mesh caps that trade shade for airflow, the EVO keeps a full solid brim over your eyes while the vents sit up in the crown. The glare stays out; the heat still leaves.
How is this different from a regular mesh cap?
A regular mesh cap is solid fabric with tiny holes — it still sits flat against your head, still saturates, and still dumps sweat down your forehead. The EVO is built differently: AirLeaf vents through the crown where heat collects, an extended sweatband that catches more before your eyes, and a brim whose raised side edges guide sweat to a drip point beside your face instead of into your eyes.
Will this work if I’m an EXTREME sweater?
Honest answer: nothing stops an extreme sweater from sweating — and anything that claims to is lying to you. The EVO does two things instead: the crown vents lower your thermal load so your body produces less sweat, and the brim redirects what you do produce away from your eyes. If it doesn’t hold up on your worst run, the 30 days are there for a reason.
Does this work if I’m bald?
Especially if you’re bald. With no hair to slow it down, sweat runs straight off the scalp toward your brow — which is exactly the path the EVO’s brim channels intercept. The vents also keep air moving over your scalp instead of sealing heat against it.
Can bugs or debris get in through the vents?
No — the vents are layered, not open holes. Air passes through; there’s no straight path to your head.
